When a global tier 1 automotive OEM agreed to sell one of its specialist R&D and production engine business to a race operator, they engaged Hickman Shearer to perform the valuation work.
The assets to be valued were ultra-high-performance ICE and electric motor production and test assets.
The initial site inspection enabled us to identify and reconcile each asset with the FAR and to obtain the information required to perform a valuation. It also included multiple interesting factors, such as considering bespoke asset lives due to unique and specialist factors. All of which were needed to be carefully considered in performing our analysis.
Our valuation was concluded, and an agreement was reached between all the parties for the transfer of the assets.
