Brief
A global leading recyclable material manufacturer were looking to complete an internal transfer of manufacturing assets. They offer a wide range of sustainable and safe products for everyday use, with products made of renewable, biodegradable materials which are recyclable.
To achieve the transfer, they required a valuation of the machinery & equipment to calculate the Stamp Duty Land Tax liability.
Work
A detailed inspection of the site was undertaken, focusing on the manufacturing assets across the site and the associated energy generation assets.
Using this information, a cost and market approach was utilised to determine the market value.
Outcome
As an output from the job, the client received a detailed valuation report from Hickman Shearer which was crucial for enabling the calculation of the HMRC stamp duty.
